Hi Jeff

Just thought I would let you know how interesting I am finding your free videos and tutorials. Yet another excellent post.

Is it worth purchasing www.bumpsmaternityclothes.com as well as say www.
bumpsmaternitywear.com

And redirecting them or linking them up. What would be your strategy?

I own already own http://www.bumpsmaternity.com

it ranks high for these competitive keywords but I am starting to drop down on the first page of google as my competitors catch up with their own SEO

Jeff says: that is all part of my feeder site strategies that I've been teaching for years, and really can't be covered in detail here.

The basic rule is work on your money site first, and then start thinking about a feeder site.

Use the feeder site to grab optins for your money site, to send links over to your money site, and to send traffic to the money site via ads and such.

Nice post.

I like the fact that you say don't use "excessive" hyphens. There are many out there that tell you not to use any hyphens at all in your domain name, but in a two-word domain name it is entirely acceptable to use a hyphen if the other version isn't available. This is especially true when the two keywords are really good ones.

Good information, I think as a new domain investor, one must establish some fundamental principles mentioned. Then, turnover some domain names for profit and continuously gain knowledge of the industry. Passion and knowledge can be a powerful combination in moving forward in this industry.

I'm trying to figure out these days how important having your keyword in your search term is. I know it helps quite a bit. Just look at the top sits for most search terms. The very top site usually is your search term.

Great post Jeff.

I am a newbie to all this so sorry if seems like a weak question.
I was told to sign up with a reseller account, and us subdomians so I could save money on Domain name registration. If I set up a site at www.abc.bcg5.com
will the search engines favor it like a www.abc.com name?

Jeff,

I joined your underground training lab yesterday and am very impressed. I registered a domain a week or so ago for affiliate marketing and have set up a WP blog9my first one and I love it). My new domain is http://comparearearugs.com.

It is an affiliate marketing site to sell area rugs. I've submitted some articles that are getting tons of views, but few click thrus to the site. Do you think that having compare in the domain name is hurting me?

Thanks again,
Doug

HI,

It doesn't sound like a domain name problem... if the articles are getting views but no clicks you need to work on your "reason why" they should visit their site in your article, or your call to action.

as always, very very informative. thank you so much for sharing a LOT of tips for free.
i do have 1 question, would a free domain (co.cc, uni.cc or even .tk) be as good as a paid domain (like. com, .org, etc.) when it terms to SEO?

again a million thanks to you jeff!
Smile!

Hi Jeff, I already have a very memorable domain name for my new blog. It does not contain much in the way of "Keywords"
My question is how does Google look at "matching" the domain to the Blog title exactly, which is my intent.

Will this be offset by other factors? Or, would it be better to use another domain?

Thanks
Denny

Wow is hard to pick and live with a domain name. I thought I found the perfect 2 short word name on a top level .org and then built 150 pages over 16 months to latter learn it was just to general. I guess if it was easy everybody would do it!
